Blackpool

Blackpool is a very busy seaside, especially in the tourist season which is September to the beginning of November. There is plenty to see and do for young and old alike. There is a pleasure beach where there are plenty of rides from the slower ones called magic mountain, to the faster ones called the Pepsi max ( the highest  roller coaster in Britain.) Also in the pleasure beach there are regular ice shows.
In Blackpool there are lots of shops, markets, amusement arcades etc.
But if you feel more like relaxing there is the beach. The main attractions of Blackpool are the tower which is about 660ft above sea level, you are able to go in the tower which has a circus, ball room, amusements and other entertainment all for one admission price. You can also take the lift to the top of the tower.
The trams which have been running for about 100 years along the sea front and is an excellent form of transport at a cheap rate. Blackpool has three piers, with different live shows with top name stars.

Along the sea front you can see the Sealife centre, Louis Tussauds Waxworks (this place I find very good) and a place called Believe it or Not, which is the extraordinary and unbelievable twists of fate.
And then after all that in the Winter between end of August to early November there is the famous Blackpool Illuminations, which run for about 6-7 miles.
But be warned the queues can last for hours as we found out ourselves, we went to see the lights at 6pm and got stuck in a Queue getting into see the illuminations and decided to give up after going only about 1 mile at 8pm, we never got to see the illuminations in the car but did park up and walk through some of them.
