For the next few weeks Lucy couldn’t make her mind up and thought really hard which kind of birthday she would like, and then decided she would like to have a birthday party with a clown to entertain her and some friends.

Lucy set about writing her invitations ready to give out at school to all her friends, but there was one friend – her best friend- Jenny who she couldn’t wait to give it to, and seeing as she only lived across the road she asked her mother if she could take it over now.

Her mother watched Lucy across the road.

On the day of Lucy’s party, Lucy was very excited and ran into her mum and dad’s bedroom to open her birthday presents.
